I am trained in karate but I don't use it :)

I use/study/teach Kunst des Fechtens, the martial art of medieval Germany. It involves both weapons (mostly swords) and empty hand techniques (usually grappling). Fortuntely, I've never had to use it for real. Edit: I do it because swords are fun. I do it because it's a martial art that relates to my heritage. There's no need to ape someone else's culture out of need... it's all right there in our own. Now, I do practice Japanese swordsmanship, but it's not my main focus. I do that because it's nice to be the student rather than the teacher once in a while. :)

I love Krav but my knee doesn't bend well so I can't really use it.

I did karate for five years. And then I got bored and tried Kung Fu, Boxing, Aikido, Kajukenbo and Ju-jitsu. I did them because I wanted to be a complete martial artist. And I did this over a period of forty years, before mixed martial arts was invented.
