I wasn't because I didn't know him, but one of my friends was in total shock, for she is a big sports' fan, including football. She couldn't believe it. She kept quoting all kinds of teams he had played with and what a great quarterback he was, etc., etc. I was rather stunned at all the celebrities who have passed away recently. It must be the heat! Unusual things happen in the summer. And the summer has just started here.

I was very surprsed to hear of the death, yes. But I'm saddened as details continue to emerge. A married man and father of four children who has a separate life and a girlfriend 15 years younger than himself opens himself up to a world of possible consequences. It looks like one of those consequences caught up with him.
