To the best of my knowledge the Merovingian rulers did not use surnames, although I may be wrong about that. There are some modern names that some associate with the alleged descendantsof the Merovingian lines. They include Freeman, Rothschild, Sinclair and Smith. Whether there is any truth to this I cannot say.
