yes! and im not going to say what because i dont want to offend anyone

Nope. We also are ahead in most of the production markets and are ahead in many other areas as well. We just like what we have, we produce more than most of the other nations, we apply our wealth wisely enough to further our ambitions, and enjoy the fruits of those labors as often as we want.

Jealous much? If more countries had free economies, they could ALL be doing the same thing, resources would be spread more evenly, and fewer resources would require creative solutions including energy and pollution solutions we simply don't have the market forces to create at present. So get with it, people!!! WTF??? You changed the q to a global warming question. Fine. No, actually the Chinese are building old tech businesses. THEY are the ones we need to worry about. The US has been moving toward a cleaner planet since the 1970's.
-
Actually, the number is closer to 1/4. The reason is that "resource" use correlates highly with economic output. We, in the US, account for nearly 1/3 of the world's economy.

We do, still are and will for years to come, but others are catching up quickly. That still doesn't make it right because once we can't breath on this planet some corporation will be selling you oxygen generators and if you can't afford the $3000 monthly bill you'll die. Bet on it.

Yes, the USA are large contributors to global warming but no they are not the only cause of it!
-
THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING!!! Anybody who believes Al Gore, is a gullible person. Al Gore is only interested in making himself and other already rich people much richer at our expense. That is what the fake global warming is all about.

Yes they are causing Global Warming, they contribute to Global warming a lot. But there are many ways to reduce consumption of energy. Whole World is spending energy mostly on heating and cooling, isn't that fact stunning? For example: Until several months ago, (before the global economic crisis), a large number of people in USA were leaving their lights ON, whatever they need lights in house or don't. In EU, that is unacceptable. However, until several months ago, the citizens of USA were paying monthly wages for electricity in a lump sum, (for example 35 USD/month). That is not possible in most countries of EU. The reason why people in USA could do that, is that Canada is major supplier of electric energy for USA, and they make 60 billions USD/year, just from selling electric energy. That is huge consumption of energy, and human race will have to learn that those action are not normall, and would not be possible forever. First result of that is Global Crisis. For example, Canada already increased budget from electric energy up to over 120 billions of USD. Result - People in USA are now, more than ever paying electric energy: as many USD/as consumption. Dear people of the world: Reduce energy consumption at your home first :)

I am American and fully undertsand that we use too much natural recsources.

We do, but no more then some smaller and less devolved countries. Environmental treaties have not made equal demands on developed and developing countries. China which as of August 27, 2008 has surpassed the United States as the world’s biggest emitter of CO2 from power generation is not even obligated to reduce their emissions under the Kyoto protocol. As for Americans, on average we use 400 million joules per day. That is the equivalent of having 100 slaves working like dogs for 12 hours a day. "For one kilowatt-hour of electricity, which is four million joules, I pay only a lousy ten cents. My entire energy bill for those 100 slaves is no more than $150 a month. What a bargain to have 100 slaves working for you for $150 a month. Its an incredible time we live in." -Walter H. G. Lewin , Professor of Physics MIT
