Question

Help answer this question below.

Wouldn't it be great if we could just see things through someone else's eyes? Just briefly, just once in awhile, just sometimes. How much would that help our understanding of one another?

Isn't that empathy? Empathy is taught and then has to be practised, of course. Also known as standing in someone else's shoes......walking a mile in their mocassins....?

- Some of the things people think seem to be illogical and unreasonable to me. Being able to get inside their heads and see the world through their eyes would help me understand them better. I think of empathy as being more relating to feeling rather than thought, though I could be wrong. Thank you for your answer suzycue and Happy Monday to ou! :)

- The problem is that 1) You can't understand the nonsensical and 2) Why would I want to understand someone I have no respect for better? I'd just loose more respect, if that's at all possible.

- Well m'dear we don't agree on this one. I would really like to know why/how people can think some of the stuff they do and I figure the only way to do that would be to get inside their heads and see things from their perspective. Different strokes...Happy Monday Austinius! :)
