Is it not blatantly obvious that some of these questions aren't really questions at all, just the asker trying to tell us something about themselves?

Quite right. But at the same time, they allow us the oppurtunity to tell a little about ourselves. It's rather like I form of the barter system, when you really think of it.

Yes. I personally don't care for questions like: Do you like my new avatar? or Would you date me? or that kind of nonsense...
