There are two outcomes. One we learn and repair and fix and get over it all. Two we do not learn, do not repair and go to war... This ends with the collapse of human civilization and a long, protracted and perhaps never ending dark age. This last is due to the small fact that during our industrial revolution we stripped the surface of the earth of easy access oil, metals, minerals. Of things collapse we no longer have the resources to rebuild -at least not close at hand, and sadly it requires a resource base in place to reach the new resources.

Hmm...well I hope not, but everything must end eventually. Remember though, in times of extreme crisis, man are known to genuinely band together, so we might see that? On the other hand, what you point out are things that happen on a gradual scale, which does not initiate man's will to work together. So I can't say. :/

Well, we're not going to get anything fixed with that attitude.

i dont believe so, every society faces its owns domestic ills, and we're trying to fix them so at least we're trying, its also very easy to focus on the negatives
