According to one article; Tom Hicks, the owner of the Texas Rangers baseball team and the Dallas Stars NHL franchise, has defaulted on a $525 million loan related to the teams. Also the team had borrowed $15 million from MLB to make its most recent payroll obligations and to fund ongoing operations. So it appears it is having financial difficulties....

Yes. Just watched a story on ESPN concerning this. The team borrowed $15 million from Major League Baseball. They might have been in worse shape if the team wasn't playing as well as they are this year. Maybe George W. Bush can buy back the team?
