thats revolting! she should face charges for child abuse at the very least. actually, i think in this case attempted murder might be in order. i imagine child protective services is probably going to step in here for the benefit of the child. that woman has no business being a mother.

Death penalty +5 she deserves nothing less. There are options out there and hers was dispicable. What a sad excuse for a person she is she deserves nothing but misery for the rest of her life.

Good christ. It is so sad to see things like this happen when Maryland HAS a Safe Haven law. The woman could have just LEFT THE BABY AT THE HOSPITAL OR FIRE STATION, and no questions would have been asked. It will be interesting to see what the judge decides as sentencing. Another girl in Maryland was charged with 2nd degree murder when she left her newborn exposed in a field. That was in Oct of 08. Methinks Maryland needs to better educate its citizens on the Safe Haven laws.

We need to find out if she is schizoid crazy first before we throw the rocks at her. She needs a thorough expert head doctor. Then, if she is sane, she goes to jail forever.
