There are three - no four accents which I find very attractive: RP English Dutch Dublin (a good cultured Dublin accent - not one of those harsh ones like in The Commitments) German I also like a cultured Edinburgh accent - but not one that sounds effeminite.

My favorite accent is Australian, my second is Irish, but all in all I think accents in general are attractive.

I like all male voices regardless of accent as long as they are talking intelligently.

actually, i think british men seem effeminate. perhaps the accent is a part of that...idk. i guess i just like a nice midwestern american accent, no western twang or southern drawl, no mid-atlantic "oy" just plain speaking.

I really like English accents. I listen to CD books in my car on my long daily commutes, and the best books are the ones where the actor/reader is English -- and there are lots of variations of English accents, which makes it interesting. (I also like Welsh accents -- YUM!) I don't think English men are effeminate -- I think a lot of them have a reputation for being rather "proper" but they can be "unpropered" quite quickly. Think HUGH GRANT!

High English is the only British accent I like. I don't know why either, I'm a very down to earth person that preference does not fit my personality. LMAO. French is a beautiful accent, Italian is cute, Irish is fun. All accents are special to me.

They don't turn me on, but I love to hear them. My grandparents were from the UK and I loved their accents so much! I guess maybe English accents just bring back happy memories for me!

As an English lady.. some do, some are absolutely terrible. In a 5 mile radius, in any part of England there are great English accents, and some really nasty ones! Otherwise... Irish! If I ever find myself unexpectedly single again I am picking up and moving to Dublin to find me an Irish man!

I'm not a lady, but I'd like to answer. Accents can be very interesting, and word usage (meanng) can be very different between countries using the same language. As an example, the Aussies speak the king's English much differently than the Brits. Here in the U.S., thanks to mobility, and people moving from state to state, regional accents seem to be going the way of the cigar store indian. I have to exclude Texas form that. Texans speak a whole nuther language. ;)
