• Methane pockets on the ocean floor cause airplane and ship motors to fail in the Bermuda Triangle... Oh, and take a look at Bermuda on google maps from a satillite view... It's neat... (zoom all the way out to view the world map, then look for Bermuda and zoom in on it slowly) Hope this helps... :D
• >>What do you know about the Bermuda Triangle?<< It's found inside the Bermuda shorts.
• It's no longer a big mystery like it once was. Methane hydrates Methane clathrate Worldwide distribution of confirmed or inferred offshore gas hydrate-bearing sediments, 1996. Source: USGSAn explanation for some of the disappearances has focused on the presence of vast fields of methane hydrates (a form of natural gas) on the continental shelves.[26] Laboratory experiments carried out in Australia have proven that bubbles can, indeed, sink a scale model ship by decreasing the density of the water;[27] any wreckage consequently rising to the surface would be rapidly dispersed by the Gulf Stream. It has been hypothesized that periodic methane eruptions (sometimes called "mud volcanoes") may produce regions of frothy water that are no longer capable of providing adequate buoyancy for ships. If this were the case, such an area forming around a ship could cause it to sink very rapidly and without warning. Publications by the USGS describe large stores of undersea hydrates worldwide, including the Blake Ridge area, off the southeastern United States coast.[28] However, according to another of their papers, no large releases of gas hydrates are believed to have occurred in the Bermuda Triangle for the past 15,000 years.[15] It should also be noted that other areas of undersea methane hydrates aren't reported to give rise to similar incidents as the Bermuda Triangle, also that bubbles of underwater gas wouldn't account for aircraft disappearances. • Here's what we now know: The incidence of disappearances from air or at sea is statistically no higher than elsewhere in similarily traveled oceans. The legend started with an article in Fate magazine in 1950, which noted several diappearances, including Flight 19. We now know that the planes of Flight 19 were lost not to mystery but bad navigation. Many theories are put forth for triangle disapperances, including hurricanes, rogue waves and methane pockets, though the USCG says there has been no proven incidence of methane bubbles in the region for 15,000 years. The open ocean if fraught with dangers. Flying planes through the air is no safer. Ships and planes go down. But now we know this doesn't happen with any greater frequency in the Bermuda Triangle.
• When rumors of this magnitude get started all the debunkers raise high the roofbeams and use it to debunk everything they cannot prove. This one should have been printed in Globe and Enquirer and left at that.
• that its a mystery
• people have had lots of theories. I guess the main one was the bad navigation. other people think it was waves, hurricane, bad air, tornados, crystals from atlantis, and some even think that all the ships and air craft were being sucked intot the water by something.
• What my brother told me when i was a kid - that ships disappear into it :)
• It's a region in the Atlantic where a number of aircraft and ships have allegedly disappeared.
• I live in it! lol
• Story is a piece of crap. "Piece Of Crap" Tried to save the trees Bought a platsic bag The bottom fell out It was a piece of crap Saw it on the tube Bought it on the phone Now you're home alone It's a piece of crap I tried to plug in it I tried to turn it on When I got it home It was a piece of crap Got it from a friend On him you can depend I found out in the end It was a piece of crap I'm trying to save the trees I saw it on TV They cut the forest down To build a piece of crap I went back to the store They gave me four more The guy told me at the door It's a piece of crap Neil Young
• that there are additional triangles that circle the earth just like it.
• that supposedly it has nitrogen geysers at the bottom that sink ships and stall plane engines but i say it could be mystical. id personally like the get a boat and go in
