The ONLY advice I can offer you, is that you find yourself a darn-good attorney to help you out of this mess. Either way, the $10K is GONE, because if you do win your case, the lawyer will probably get most of it in legal fees. Sorry I can't give you more optimism. +5

There must be some kind of record because your drivers license wouldn't be suspended without there having been a record. You might begin by asking Farmers what happened. If you get a cooperative person on the phone, you might find out the full story. You may get an uncooperative person...in which case you may have to consult with an attorney. But try direct contact and ask questions. An attorney may cost more than $10K but Farmers might take much less to dismiss the matter and allow you to get your license back. So check first with Farmers and look into the possibility of settling. Once you determine how much it will cost to get back your license you have the guidelines for your budget for hiring an attorney. Good luck.

This is odd. Such a judgment would have gone through the civil courts and I don't think they have the power to suspend your license. In any case, there must have been many, many letters, some by certified mail, sent to you before this point. Have you moved recently? Are you no longer living at the address listed on your driver's license or known by the insurance company? Is it possible that someone at the old address has been signing for your certified mail? Do you remember being in any sort of accident, whether you were responsible or not?
