You mean the "viewing" ? I would wear dark grey and black. Slacks and a nice blouse.

Dark, obscure attire is worn so as not to stand out in the crowd........Are you going to pay your respects, or to a fashion show.
-
Yes, i think black dress is the more proper attire.
-
unless they say otherwise, i would wear a black dress or a mostly black outfit. i went to one in January for a friend of mines mother and they asked for us to wear bright colors in celebration of her life. so i wore a bright green sweater. but yes black, more than likely, will be appropriate.

yeah, black or at least dark clothes. and of course dress conservatively. i went to my friend's grandma's funeral recently and we all wore basically black skirts/ dresses

Black or dark is best.
-
i'd say black yeah. i think that wearing bright pink would make you look a fool. but really, black for respect. :)

Usually dark/somber colors. When my parents died, I don't think I even OWNED much black. Just dress conservatively and respectfully. You'll be fine.
-
All black although a light colored blouse for a woman is acceptable with a black skirt or pants & a jacket! Sorry for his loss.

The best way to pay your respects in a "mourning" setting would be to wear black. A nice, conservative black dress or skirt outfit would be fine. If you decide to wear a colored blouse with black don't pick a color that "screams" (like any kind of bright color).
