Comments
Hi Nick! That's impressive! Thanks! How are you?
by Marguerite on June 29th, 2009
I'm just back from a short vacation in Sweden, so I feel good.
by Nick on June 29th, 2009
How fun! That's awesome! Hope you got some exciting sightseeing done. I'll be taking off for a 3 week vacation July 7. I still plan to put some of my art pictures on my profile so please visit if you get a chance. I'll place the pictures July 8th or 9th. Remember, I'm a beginning artist, mostly self taught from what I can read and even from what you have taught me. Well, did you go skiing or mountain climbing? Or did you learn how to yodel? Anyway, I'm glad you are back. It's good to hear from you. Thanks for answering my questions!

About your books: Those are a bunch of books all right! I know they are excellent! Maybe I'll run into some of them if they are sold at other museum book shops. I'm always buying books about different artists.

Oops, forgot. It's the Swiss that yodel. What do the Swedes do?
by Marguerite on June 30th, 2009
The Swedes are very good at long distance skiing. I was on a little island called Öland, just relaxing in the sun and biking around a bit.
Concerning books: I wrote one half of Hockney's Friends (2003). You can google that and continue from there. My name is not Marco.
by Nick on June 30th, 2009
I didn't find the book when I typed "Hockney's Friends". Perhaps it has a different title? There were many websites with Hockney and friends and many names, but I don't think you were one of them, but alas I do not know what I'm looking for. Please give me another clue.
by Marguerite on June 30th, 2009
try www.abebooks.com and search "Hockney's portraits and people" under title. the book was published as "Hockney's Friends" in the U. S., but that edition seems to be out of print.

Ooops, I remembered it wrong. It was published as "Hockney's People" in the U. S.
by Nick on July 1st, 2009
Bingo! I found it. Amazon.com has it listed, as well as other sellers. I'm going to Houston in about two more weeks. I will check there for it, as I would be interested to read one of your books. Cool! Thanks, Nick!
