Yes. But how many of them are actually using AB and how many of them have left?
-
It's a nice number. I would rather know how many active ABers there are.

Blimey, my ranking doesn't sound too bad now!

1) Don't imagine that so many users are participating. The great majority of accounts are inactive, some have just made a registration, others have just asked a couple of questions and have probably disappeared forever. According to the "last week most points leaderboard", last week, there were about 1000 users who have scored at least 90 points, but all other users have scored less, that means less than an average of 13 points a day. So we have only 1000 of such users who are "rather active" or more. I guess that we have not much more than 10,000 users scoring more than 20 points a week (3 points a day). And probably no more than 100,000 users who have more than 100 points on their point total. 2) "[June 20th, 2006] From Answerbag: In conjunction with the launch of Video Answers, Answerbag will conduct an online contest for users to post relevant and useful video answers to questions posed on the site. The Video Answers provided will be judged by how well they answer the question and how valuable their information is, and the best answers will be eligible for prizes. Additionally, Answerbag announced that it has surpassed the 1 million unique user milestone, due largely to word-of-mouth and the quality of its users. Answerbag was created in 2003 and has developed a strong following of users, both novice and experts, who provide in-depth information on a wide-variety of topics, even with a limited marketing budget. Not sure is Answerbag means 1 million registered users or unique users who have visited the site in that statement" Source and further information: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/answerbag-qa-service-adds-videos-yahoo-next/3553/ 3) For the US, after having reached a peak of 6.9 M users (registered or not) in February 2009, the traffic on Answerbag has been steadily decreasing, and is now at 5.6 M users. This is probably related to the fact that some features do not work as they were designed to do. (rough estimate, 05/31/09). Answerbag has popularity rank 175. There are less than 1% addicts (30 visits/month or more), who make 6% of the visits on the site. There are 10% regulars (more than 1 visit/month, but less than addicts), who make 22% of the visits on the site. There are 90% regulars (1 visit/month), who make 72% of the visits on the site.
