  • if everyone in he world shared all the resources and money we all had there would be more then enough to go around
  • I agree with you on the obscene attention paid to Jackson's life and death in the face of so many life-and-death issues in the world. 16,000? Check your figures. That's just a daily figure for the number of *children* who die from hunger-related causes. The total number is in the hundreds of millions. I work closely with social service agencies and organizations. I have yet to hear anyone, in that field or in my private life, blame God for world hunger. No one is that stupid. Where did you get this idea?
  • Thats why the world needs peace! Thousands of dollers go tords millitary for war, if we used that money for people in need the world would be a great place! Just about everyone would have food, shelter, and an education. I think the only reason why man blames god is because half the time man dosint know what they are asking for, i think the human race should accept that things happen for a reason, and that god knows whats best for outhers.
  • Um. Who is blaming God? I don't see anyone doing that. The religious people just say, "the Lord works in mysterious ways", and the non-religious people don't blame the misery on a being that they don't believe exists. So, who is it that is blaming God? And for future reference, it's "no one". Two words.
  • I don't watch the news but see nothing wrong with them honouring a man who contributed to the arts. He earned his living just like the rest of us and how do you know he didn't donate to charities? Many celebrities do. I don't blame a non existent being, I blame the governments of the countries involved. I think it's a shame that so many people seem so angry about a man who has died and is no longer able to defend himself.
  • When someone whose music you've heard a lot dies, in a weird way it's like losing a friend. Besides, MJ's probably raised far more money for hunger relief than everyone on AB put together. I don't think there's anything wrong with making a big deal out of it for a while. Are you saying he's less deserving of honor because he was wealthy?
  • "he made us" knowing damn full well what we'd do, and then chooses to condemn us for it. Mike was a pedophile. But folks love to brownnose celebrities. Particularly Deities. Why didn't god invent folks who could've gotten along and not needed money?
  • MJ may have been wealthy once, but he died in debt - some sources estimate $400 million in debt. He spent about $30 million a year - all borrowed money. This site talks about how many personal bailouts he had: http://www.dailyfinance.com/2009/06/26/michael-jackson-leaves-1-billion-in-assets-500-million-in-unp/4 http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2009-06-28-jackson-estate_N.htm He definitely contributed to charity, but it seems in his last years he may have driven his estate to bankruptcy. Sad for his children. It's true that there is enough resources in the world to feel and educate every living person - we are just too country-centered. We feel the need to fix our country and our country only, yet we can't even do that. It's not God's fault that we are collectively a greedy bunch of people. Not everyone blames God though. Some of us see it for what it is, and a lot of us are just plain ignorant to what goes on in the world.
  • I agree that too much attention is given to a single man's life. He was talented. Let him go. What has that got to do with a god? Assuming you are correct, who is blaming said god?
  • Have you not heard that Michael Jackson was a great humanitarian that gave millions of dollars to charity. He will go down as being one of the greatest humanitarians in the world. There is nothing wrong with wealth - there's only a problem with loving that money more than anything else. God is the only one that knew Michael Jackson. He is no longer here to defend himself.
  • 1. Nobody "blames God" except for those who still believe in him. Don't worry about God. If he exists, he can take care of himself without your fussing and meddling.   2. Michael Jackson worked hard for his money. If his fans chose to pay $$ for his music, that's their business.   3. Michael Jackson gave a lot to charity each year, but he didn't boast about it.   4. MJ was not on the list of the world's wealthiest individuals. He is not on the list of the world's billionaires http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_billionaires_(2008)   Now, what are you complaining about?
