Trick your mind. Try to stay up, intend to stay. Make a plan that you will stay up til such and such time and do such and such thing. You'll probably be asleep within 30 minutes.

Plan ahead. If you drink energy drinks full of caffeine they will keep you awake for quite awhile. So do not drink them within how ever many hours before you will want to go to sleep... zzzzz.....
-
exercise. it will burn the sugar and caffine faster and make you tired.

Have sex and go to bed (if not already in it for the sex), or have a wank and go to bed, (though recent studies have shown that the soporific chemicals released into the brain are less when orgasm is achieved through masturbation that actual intercourse, funnily enough).

exercise, drink warm milk, shower, and take diphenhydramine tablets if you have to. You can find them at any store in the form of sleep aids and allergy tablets.

Energy drinks are pure caffiene. The same thing happens to me when I have a larged DD iced coffee. The best thing is to treat it the same way you would with jet lag: stay awake during the following day and go to bed at a normal time the next night to get your internal clock back in sync with day/night.
