People were losing their jobs in bulk quite a bit before Obama got elected. It will be very difficult to measure how much difference his policies have made in the end, because of the complexity of economics. Did you really lose your job?

You meant hope and change... . I believe that no matter who the president is, the american people will prevail. Maybe swing too far one way, (left in this case) but we will make a come back. We will be stronger and smarter than before! . We have, after all, our constitution to guide us.
