well, I will be taking a 10 hr car trip 4th of July weekend. I plan on taking a pillow and a blanket, some soda's and snacks and a navigator thingee. Also going to be burning some cd's for some rockin tunes to listen to.

Depends on where the cartrip is heading. Last time my friend and I drove for vacation I took- Water(lots of it) Dog food(again, lots of it) cooler full of pop, juice, sliced turkey breast, bread, leashes, best friend and her dog, my three dogs, and one can of air freshner.

On a 12 hour trip i would take my i-pod, some food and drink, my PSP and an issue of Nuts or a gaming magazine

If you're a smoker........ Take a BUTT BOTTLE. Not for personal relief, but to extinguish your cigarettes in. Two inches of water at the bottom and a cap is imperative. An old plastic water bottle works great.

Girlfriend, binoculars, GPS, pillow, blanket, thermos of coffee, container of water, ipod, laptop, chargers(phone, ipod, laptop, washcloth & towel. I would also take whatever I would need when I get to where I am going.

Do I get to stop? If not a big empty bottel. If I can then Serious Sat Radio. No messing with cd/or mp3 player. Plus can here comedy and other talk most dont' have already have stored somewhere and easily breaks up the drone of "favorit" music.

Two options here. Take almost nothing because you are confident all will go well. Or pack like you are conducting a military campaign. Possible list: Pillow & blanket Cooler with snacks and beverages Paper & several things to write with Maps & GPS Camera & extra batteries Binoculars Cell & charger Water Tool kit,spare & emergency stop things. Maybe a gas can Music & dvd's (if you have a player) Rope (Tie your mother up?!) Books and magazine A sack for garbage
