I've been on a few tourist trains in the last 5-10 years and I took a cross country train trip, round trip, back in 1987
I've never been on a train before
A couple of years ago.
I travel exclusively by train and have been all over the country on Amtrak.
I've been on more trains than I can count.
They are actually very relaxing and have restaurant cars and lounge cars where you can buy drinks and people are less hurried and always friendlier on trains.
I am terrified of flying and when I got out of the Army swore I'd never get in another one and I haven't.
I have never been on a real train, only the fun, relaxing rides at a park. +5
Last week when I had to commute to the city to fetch my motorbike that was in for repairs.

Some months ago. I took to train to the town next to mine every day when I was studying
just last thursday and will again monday..
Last weekend. I don't subway to work daily.
A few years ago we did a "mystery train". Its a dinner train that goes up to a winery in the region. There was a who-dun-it mystery going on there and back and we had to try to figure out who was the "murderer". It was alot of fun.
Never did but I want to.
I can't even remember. I was supposed to go last year on a train ride throughout the Grand Canyon but plans got messed up.
About three years ago when we visited the Grand Canyon in AZ.
Yesterday, I ran a train from Davenport, Iowa to Savanna, Illinois....
It was about a month ago when my friend and I went to the city by train.
Last summer.
Years ago, when with my parents, the missed the first train, and as with everything else, they blamed me for it.
15 years ago, while going on vacation with my aunt.

Last September between Auckland and Wellington (12 hour trip each way), and before that it would have been 20 years earlier.

You have to be crazy to drive though London and, along with busses, it is the standard form of public transport in the UK.
About 9 years ago.
When I was 10 years old. My mom, baby sister and I took a train to Granite City, Illinois from Los Angeles with a few hours' stopover in Chicago. It took about 3 days I think. I loved the dining car. The trip there however was miserable. I had been to the dentist the day before and I had a terrible ache in my jaw for a few days afterwards. But the trip home was delightful! :)
Last time would have been 1983 in Korea.

Amtrack trains. Do they offer electrical outlets to charge cell phones and laptops at the seat? Or anywhere on the trains?
