You tell me.

Well, it's not our duty!...and we didn't join AB to mark them up either... Just wait...these types of people are always marked up.
-
Meh, whatever makes them happy.
-
We're not getting paid for our points, so it doesn't really matter to me.
-
I ask controversial questions all the time so I would say it is fair. I try not to ask stupid questions but I am sure I have before.
-
I think the stupid and controversial questions are just great ice breakers for people to start a conversation here. I've had plenty of good conversations with people just because their question caught my eye. It didn't have to be a GOOD question. Who cares about points? ^_^ Obviously I'm not one of those people who are way up high in the ranks. lol Just here for fun and to converse with people.

Whatever floats there boats.

There are no promises anyone will gain any points for anything asked. There are no boundaries as long as the question asked is indeed a question and has not been asked before. What may appear stupid to some may seem fun or smart to another. Should we appoint a dictator to set standards on how educated the members should be, before they are allowed to ask? The points on this site does not do anything but go up. much like a person counting, no matter how high you count no one wins a thing.

Stupidity is relative. What may appear to be a stupid question to some people may indeed be relevant and intelligent to others. Of course there are point farming questions and always will be but as long as they ARE questions there is nothing anyone can do about the content as long as it is not abusive or full of hatred.

It sounds like two good ideas for categories. "Stupid Questions" and "Controversial Questions"? Are there similarities here? They don't look similar to me.
-
This is the place for both makes AB AB, controversial's get the mind going and the juices flowing while the only stupid question is the one NOT asked ... ~Nemo~
