It's the head games. People seem to enjoy the chase, suspense and drama in a relationship. I, myself tried to figure this out as well. Though the nice girl's will generally get what is deserving in due time.

I believe that each of us has in our mind a picture of our ideal partner. When we meet someone to whom we are attracted, the internal picture becomes modified to match whatever characteristics exist in the one we just met. But the one thing I do know is that I have never been able to understand why some people I know hook up with their partners. What I work hard to recognize is that I'm not the one making the choice, it is my friend.

in some cases, i would say these guys are getting exactly what they deserve. like often attracts like. in the whole scheme of things, a nice person is better off without a guy who would dump them for a girl who treats them badly. guys like that enjoy the chase ~ its all about the challenge of the conquest. but not all guys are like that. there are some who truly appreciate a kindhearted person who respects them and treats them well and will reciprocate. in order to attract one of these genuine guys, you have to put out the right signals. now that youre older and wiser just watch out for the signs that theyre in it for a real relationship ~ not just in it for the game.

I could say the samething about women. To be honest ive never really thought this happened to women. I always though it was women who were interested in the jerks, NOT men.

I don't get that either, my friends do that and it makes NO sense. THey say boredom or just no 'zest' in the whole thing ... I guess people are just not happy unless they are miserable :-)

coz it's a bore to them. have you tried a totally nice girl/guy? if he has a choice from a quiet rowboat of 20 years to a better risky sadistic roller coaster ride then i bet he'd go for it

TO see this before hand... Look at his relationship with his mother. *This is why before getting serious. you should meet the fam! If he has no relationship with her, or it was bad... RUN don't walk in the other direction. A man is not going to respect a woman in general who can't respect his own mother. And the end result of that... is his taking a bitch over a good woman anyday because he has no idea what a good woman is in the first place. There are exceptions of course... But this is the general rule of thumb.
