It's ok. Many people get your and you're confused just as many get there, they're and their confused too.

I point out grammatical errors when I see them, but I think most people don't because they feel it would be rude.

maybe they were intimidated with you and that you'd get so pissed when corrected. maybe next time you have to be the one to check in to people ask them is this right? am i correct? tell me.. things like that

Because it's common sense. Which makes sense - "You are welcome" = "You're welcome" or "The welcome belonging to you" = "Your welcome" ??

If that is the only language problem you have, then you are above average. Have you read enough of these AB questions yet to notice that many people that post questions completely butcher the English language? I think that foreign immigrants taking ESL classes are probably writing better English that native born high school students. I don't know how old you are or when you went to school, but I suspect that the schools aren't doing a very good job of educating our youth. I'm not blaming the teachers, I think it might be that many of the students don't want to learn, and the teachers give up after trying over and over. Am I wrong in thinking this?

This is a ridiculously common error that I have never understood. I can only imagine that people must have missed it during school, but how!!!? It seems so obvious to me. ANYWAY, people probably didn't correct you because either THEY didn't know it was wrong, or didn't want to seem rude/petty.

Booknight you're not the only one. It's a common error made. And I assure you I have seen this done on many many occasions. The important thing to remember is now you know the difference and guess what if you continued to type "your welcome" it does not matter at least you show you are polite!
