Other than jelly what else goes with Peanut Butter? - im tired of jelly/jam.

• one has sugar in and the other is just fruit- i can't remember which way round it is, just that it's a very confusing thing to say when working with American children!

• Preserves is whole fruit or whole peices of fruit. Jam is mashed fruit. Jelly is just the juice with no actual fruit pulp in it.

• not in the UK!! I think preserves are mashed fruit, jam is mashed fruit and sugar and jelly is gelatine going wibble wobble wibble wobble jelly on a plate

• Actually, the two "jelly's" are the same thing, but the American kind has a higher juice content and lower gelatin or pectin and is served on bread or toast. The UK Jelly is what we call Jell-O or Gelatin and has a lower juice or flavor content and high gelatin content to make it set up harder.

• I wish I could take credit, but being the "American Cousin" in my family, there were many childhood debates on this subject. I do think it is weird that the preserves and jam part are different. What do you call whole fruit or whole peices of fruit with a little bit of the jellified juice in a jar?
