  • Balance your toes on a step and flex your foot up and down. Your entire body weight is being held by your ankles, so do not use this exercise for extended periods of time or you risk injury.
  • I can totally relate to you. I have been in ballet for 10 years and I also am waiting to go on point. My dannce teacher is always complaining that I have weak ankles and that I am all stretched out because I'm really flexible. Ok, so get marbles and a plastic container and pick the marbles up on by one and, just by moving your ankle, put them into the container. It works very well. Or get Elasca bands which you put around your ankles and just point and fllex, it helped tramendously! And lastly just stand on one foot with the other in coupe and rise up and down very slowly (it also strengthens your calves!) Have fun!
  • Do lots of releves and eleves at the barre. Get a Theraband and use you it to strengthen your arch and ankles. Practice writing the alphabet with your foot in the air. Place a small towel on the floor and gather it up with your toes. As you get better at this, use a large towel.
