This website below offers allot of different software
that will allow you to burn DVD to ipod, iphone or other mobile device. They are not free, but most of them do a good job. The downside, watching movies on your mobile device eats the battery quickly...

Hook up a digital audio recording device to the audio output source and just record it :-)

It would probably be easier to just search the Internet for the song.

You will need to use a third party software that will convert your DVD to MP4 format.

Xilisoft has one as do many others. You open the software, put in the DVD (on your computer) and then select the file that actually contains the movie and name it. It'll take a few hours to convert, but it works.

I don't own an iPod video, but plan on it and have already begun the conversion process for my library of DVD's. Each DVD takes up roughly 1/2 Gig.

They play on iTunes just fine, so I'm assuming they will play on the iPod video when I get it.

I could never justify buying the movie again on MP4 after I've already purchased it on DVD.

Yes. You can get a dvd ripper (AoA dvd ripper is a good one) An that like any other dvd ripper will rip the movie onto your hard drive. Then convert it with your video converter I know itunes does it. An that should do it.

I know that they make this thing that will burn them right on to the iPod but i heard a lot of bad reviews. Also try the free app called HANDBRAKE: you can only use this on a mac a believe.
