I suppose you are asking about a golfer's index or handicap, which is a measure of skill level. I think you are supposed to be a six handicap or lower to use the gold tees. Of course, if you hit 300 yard drives (260+ is probably actually enough), you should use the gold tees even if you have a higher handicap. Note: it can be a real problem for others if players with less skill use the back tees. It slows down play for everybody, so only go back there if you are really good enough.
