  • For some value of righteousness. It all depends on what you mean by that. I would think that it would be righteous to stop genocide. I would not think it would be righteous to stop women going around with bare faces - but some people would. So it all depends on the interpretation of the word.
  • I'm pretty sure most people throughout history have thought that. That's why there have been so many wars. Since each individual defines righteousness in a different way, having most people think that way pretty much means they are going to constantly be fighting. For instance, I could consider it righteous to go to war to achieve a certain goal, and another person could consider it righteous to go to war to stop me. But, despite all that, I do tend to think that way. Even though I realize that what I think is right is a pretty insignificant factor in the big world, I still think that it is a worthy one. Maybe I'm just stupid.
  • Absolutely. It's not a "catch-22." Sometimes peace is the easy way out because it involves the least amount of responsibility.
