Bling Bling" is a 1999 hit hip-hop song by The B.G., featuring his Cash Money Records labelmates Juvenile, Lil' Wayne, Turk, Baby, and Mannie Fresh. The song, and its many follow-ups from the label, popularized a hip hop slang term which refers to expensive jewelry and other accoutrements. The term is thought to be derived from the onomatopoeia of a visual effect used to denote light glistening off metal or jewels
Bling-bling does refer to jewelry, diamonds in particular. Nobody really says bling-bling anymore though, just bling. " Jason and Jinx just got engaged, check out the bling he put on her finger"
What my brother with a speech-impediment says my phone does.
All of the definitions on this page are good, but I thought I'd throw in some pics too.

Lmao. All valid definitions, but its the book's definition :) "Bling Bling" is the term those in the hip hop community use when referring to anything that shines when it hits a certain angle of light. The diamond/gold/platinum twinkles in the light, creating the singsong "bling bling" in one's head almost instantaneously. This term was popularized during the late 90's during which a rapper, who goes by the name Lil Wayne (Weezy F. Baby, sometimes) said it in a rather famous song. The innovator that he is, Lil Wayne also coined the term "Drop It Like It's Hot," which was a huge hit during the year 2004 when rapper Snoop Dogg and his friend Pharrell Williams sang "drop it like it's hot" as the hook of the song. The cd went plantinum.
Hope that answers your question ;)
Cheap stuff that is knock-off of real expensive stuff and that the owner did not purchase legitimately.
Examples: Gold plated jewelry, fake Rolexs, cars that look expensive but have been purchased cheap or even stolen, etc.
bling-bling is jewerly and cool stuff
I remember the very first time I heard this: it was listening to the Howard Stern show about...four years ago. I had to listen really close to figure out what it means. I now understand it to mean FLASHY jewlry. Not just a nugget here and there, but OPPULENCE: showing that you are someBODY.
My platinum necklance around my neck encrusted with my diamonds (ice).
Oppulent, unessecary jewelry and accessories misguideldy used in place of investment funds, savings and educational tuition to convey importance, status and grandeur.
