Orkney. Stunningly beautiful, with friendly and cosmopolitan people, and absolutely littered with ancient buildings, standing stones etc. Fine beaches and good whisky. Hard to beat.

Depends on what you like to do, but some of my favorites: 1)Africa- amazing, spiritual, a National Geographic Special come to life. 2)China- exotic, teeming with life, like another planet. 3)Thailand-from Bangkok, people and excitement everywhere you look, to Phuket Island, tranquil with idyllic beauty. 4)USA- so many amazing places, it'd be hard to narrow down! NYC, California, Arizona, etc.etc.

Israel is a beautiful, friendly, vibrant, historical, fun and all round amazing place to visit.

Anywhere with a lake, good fishing, decent weather, and absolutely no cell signal.

Michigan lakes. Ive never been so relaxed in my life! I went to Niagara falls but it just isnt as quiet and relaxing. Living on the lake able to go out on the weekend on your boat or jetski is my dream for later in life!
-
Lol @ 'on holiday' my American brain got tweaked by that. When I go on vacation I wanna see trees, a lake, and absolutely 0 cell signal. That last part is absolutely critical.

Bali. You cannot beat the scenery (from beach to mountains, volcanoes, coral reefs, flowers, birds, monkeys), the food, and the shopping. Then there is the culture (Hindu temples, 1000 year old ruins, dance, art etc etc) But I am biased. I support 7 orphananges there...with the most beautiful children in the world. The second pic shows me distributing clothing and stuff to the kids of Blimbingsari a few years ago.

Walpole, on the SouthWest coast of Western Australia. It's beautiful, green, forested, lush, cool, with fantastic beaches (even by Australian standards). Spending time down there almost makes you forget about the level of pollution in Perth, ethnic and religious discrimination, and places like New South Wales.

It all depends on: Who you intend to travel with or visit Where you start from What you expect to get from your travels How you intend to travel When you plan to go Why you seek to travel (fun in the sun, history, etc)

Well, so far I have been to a few destinations. Most have been in the U.S. so yeah I'll give you input. Washington D.C.- Wonderful if you like american history, or are a proud american. If you have either of those qualities, going around D.C. honoring dead war veterans of past wars and visiting the capitol building should be a wonderful experience. South Dakota- Has Mnt. Rushmore. Again, if you are a proud american a good place to go, but if this isn't quite enough to pull you there than there is Jewel Cave, the 3rd largest cave in the world I believe. California- You can basically know what's there, beaches, etc. Cozumel, Mexico- This is an extremely good choice in my opinion. It is an island off of Mexico and is mainly an american tourist area. The hotel I went to (Whatever you wanna call if) offered many activities and had a beautiful beach. Snorkeling was a dayly activity, and scuba diving was the best experience of my life. We also took a ferry to the mainland and went to a flea market to experience that. Also, on the mainland a few hours away by bus is an ancient mayan town called "Talum" Though "Talum" is pretty dirty and stuff it's overall a great place to visit. I went to "The Reef Club" wonderful hotel, if you are thinking about Cozumel, seriously consider there.

There are thousands of wonderful places. it depends where you are starting from and what lind of holiday you want. If you are in Europe and you want Beaches and ancient sites Turkey and Greece are pretty Good My preference is Turkey. If you are looking for Architecture and History Mainland Europe Beaches and Romance either the Carribean Islands or Hawaii. Sri Lanka or India they have everything as well as an experience that you will see nowher else in the world.

It would depend of my budget. With a medium to low budget (ands living in the United states) I'll go close, to the Caribbean, specifically: Puerto Rico. There I'll have all the beauty and attractions of a tropical paradise, while I do not need a Passport, and have access to everything I have here (in the Sates). With a generous budget, I'll go to Ireland, find a small coastal town and enjoy scenery and place.... spend an evening in the towns pub.
