If he has to ask, he's got a problem. If his wife tells you, she has.

It's a guy thing. A guy wants to know because its a boost to his ego if she he is the best she's ever had. A lot of guys do this because they are insecure about themselves and they need to be reassured that they are, in fact, doing their part and knowing that they are the best gives him a complement. If he's always doing it, then he's really insecure and needs therapy.

Sounds like to me he has some insecurity issues. She has some issues too if she's sharing this intimate information with her friends.

He's asking because he's either fishing for compliments or he's trying to build his self esteem. He just wants to hear his wife say that he's the man!

He wants to be sure that she's not thinking about or missing anything from someone she's had in the past. Basically... he's asking for an ego boost. ;)

i agree, he's just asking for an ego boost. He might have some insecurity about his sexual performance as well. Men love hearing a woman during sex, it lets them know they are doing their job well. Maybe she isn't making enough noise during sex, considering that he's asking her all the time. She might try just being more verbal with him during sex. Give the man more encouragement, they love to hear women cheer them on and ask for more in the middle of sex. There's nothing wrong with giving him an ego boost, during sex, after sex or both would be good. Yeah it is annoying and a loaded question, but to a man, it's the same thing as us asking them if we look fat. It's a loaded question. Women have ego too and we want to know that we are ALL our man thinks about. We want to make sure that no other woman can make our man feel the way we do or take care of him the way that we can. Case in point, let a women find out or catch her man looking at porn or another women, and we are offended to no end. She should just tell him he's the man and mean it. Believe in him = he'll believe more in himself = boost his ego and his self esteem = he's more apt to go to the ends of the earth for her. She will LITERALLY be his everything.
