  • This is because you may not be given him enough attention, also and mainly they do this to warn other preditors away and sometimes stomp there feet when hearing unformiller nosies.
  • My rabbit did it because she hated me. Everytime I would even walk by, she would do it. And when I petted her. Or was giving her food. Or right after I would give her a treat. She had a lot of baggage from one of her former homes, and didn't much care to be around people. Maybe your rabbit doesn't like you either.
  • One of my rabbits does it. She does it to get my attention like when she wants food or to tell my other rabbit that I am around. Some rabbits do it when they are scared. That is the most usual reason.
  • 1. warning sign in the wild stomps are warning signs to other rabbits that a predator is coming. sometimes rabbits will stomp if for instance introduced to predator animals such as dogs or cats 2. playfullness when a rabbit plays they run around and stomp and carry on and it is very funny to watch, but that is just playfullness not a warning sign. rabbits will most often leap or flick their ears when they do this.
  • Same kinda question as why do kids throw themselves on the floor while you are shopping and scream like a banshee;.
  • A number of reasons... my bunny stomps when he is worried, if he gets startled it's a way of warning other bunnies (or me) that there is danger! Also something that has just recently started is that he has this stuffed toy he "loves" and he will stomp his foot and then run over to it... and erm.. love it. I am told, that this is a dominance thing. Hope this helps!
  • Stomping usually means danger! watch out! Get ready to run! to other rabbits. It's a sound they do that vibrates on the ground and signals other rabbits to beware. It's also can mean excitement, like sexual excitement or new rabbit.
  • My rabbit stomps his back leg (or "thumps") for two reasons: 1. He thinks there's danger and is instinctively thumping to warn the other rabbits (even though it's only me and him around). 2. He's angry at or frustrated with me (usually for not putting out ... he's not fixed).
