How crazy do you get over misspellings on answerbag? I don't mean typos, just obvious bad spelling. I need to know if I am just way too anal.

I find it difficult sometimes to really understand what somebody means. When that happens I skip their question. If it is gibberish, I flag it so the moderators can either clean it up so it is readable or it goes bye-bye. Different people have varying verbal skills, but it is sad how many adults do not know how to spell, do not know basic grammar and do not know how to form a question. I don't go crazy over it, I either ignore the question or I try to answer as well as I can.

I dislike it, of course. Makes the content difficult to read. If the typos and bad grammar are in a question, it's hard to figure out what the questioner's asking. What bothers me even more, however, is when a certain Sage, (or anyone else, for that matter), answers those hard-to-read questions with tacky and mean-spirited non-answers that call the questioner names like, "bimbo" or "illiterate dunce". I don't like bad grammar and misspelled words, but I abhor cruelty. That makes me sick.

Not too crazy. I get more crazy over 1. People who blame their lack of ability to spell on typos. Give me a break! Spellcheck programs would take care of both, so there are no excuses. 2. Knowing for a fact that a Q is a duplicate and being unable to find it because one, or both, have words that are spelled incorrectly. That is maddening. You're not "too anal", too anal is spending 80% of your time playing Dudley Spellright. I don't think it is appropriate to mark something "not helpful" based on poor spelling alone.

I think it is because text messager have a diffedrent language...they have learned to spell everything easier....lazy maybe! But yes I think it is extremely irriatating as well...

Today just about everything makes me crazy. Unfortunately I have no basis for allowing it to irritate or annoy me. I have poor grammar. That would make me a hypocrite. That bein' sed, i can spel reel guud.
