This was the closest the US has come to another depression since 1929, so the fact it's taking some time to fix it is no surprise. Still, there are plenty of signs that we have turned the corner. The stock market has recovered its losses for the year. Job losses are down for three months in a row. 10 of the major banks have repaid the TAPR loans to the taxpayers with interest. This month's housing starts were up 17.4%, 10% better than expected and the fourth straight month they have risen. In the face of that, Gopers are frantic to convince the public we must immediately reverse course and put the policies back in place that brought on the collapse in the first place. If the economy recovers, they are toast! So expect a constant drone of wild charges and nay saying from the right wing echo chamber.

It will take more than 5 months to undo 8 years of mismanagement.
