  • Hehe. No. Too soon to tell. Championships are won in the field, not in offices signing contracts. Real Madrid is certainly taking BIG steps in improving the team. Signing these two superstars (and seemingly more to come) seems to be for many the solution to their problems. Pellegrini's addition as coach was one as well. Of course Madrid's fans are extremely happy, but they're counting the chickens before they hatch. If history is any indicator, to construct a team around mega stars doesn't always render immediate results in championships, a team needs time for them to adjust, to formulate a plan, a philosophy. Here's what Barcelona has at the moment that Real Madrid doesn't. - A great "farming" system which has produced enormous dividends. - A united team, Eto'o being the big question at the moment in terms of staying with the team or not. - A philosophy in their style of game and strategy as opposed to R. Madrid whose seemingly impressive winning streak last season was more of a mirage, they rarely played with gusto, or much technique, relying on improvisation and a few heroics. - The admiration of fans and rivals alike, for the style of game displayed and them playing as a team, despite having many great "star quality" players as well. Maybe R. Madrid will improve in some of those areas, but it won't happen all of a sudden, let's wait and see.
  • We will see next season. Remember also that they are too sign Ribery as well and David Villa
