I am thinking about quitting my job (for various reasons). How do I go about it?

You write a letter of resignation giving a two week notice, and deliver it to the HR dept. Hopefully you will already have another job lined up, if you need the work.

climb onto your boss' desk and urinate on his papers. That's always a good start.

Basically, you just need to put your resignation in writing addressed to your manager. Something along the lines of Dear (managers name)..... I wish to terminate my employment as of (date) ..... Yours sincerely (your name)....... That's it. You don't have to explain your reasons, although you can if you want, and you can also put that you have enjoyed working for the company and it's been a pleasure working there etc, Good luck.

You give your employer two weeks notice. But be prepared to be fired before the two weeks is up. If you are fired you can collect unemployment benefits starting from the day you were fired...so be sure to apply. if they dont let you go, then buy your own going away cake and leave it in the breakroom when you leave.
