I was married in the month of Febuary! And we were dirt poor! We were married by the Justice of the Peace in New York City with just one witness. No photos of the wedding itself but some of the honeymoon. Have been married almost 25 years now. GOOD LUCK!

Have a small ceremony in your back yard, or in a park. Bottle party! You should have planned it for summer, then you could have planned a beach barbecue party. I've been to a fantastic wedding in which everyone was in swimwear and everyone chipped in for the food - some brought drinks, some steaks, some chicken etc.

I get married on last February, also with one witness, no family around, and friends, in a strang city , just A prist and Angls. We are bulding our home step by step and we don't have money just pushing,we have love which is gift from |God. so go do it and God will give his blessing, Money and Love never agree together, so what i want to say is Money you can have it or lose it easly but Love you can't. I don't know, but God bless you for not putting your husband-to-be and family through the nonsense of insisting upon a ridiculously expensive wedding. That sort of thing is part of the reason why many men don't care for the idea of marriage. It provides a 'window peek' at what the woman will be like as a wife, which is probably why the divorce rate is so high. Your fiancé's scored himself a catch!
