  • Ask someone else to bring it to their attention, especially someone they are close to and would listen to clearly and objectively. Hearing the same thing from someone over and over just ends up being noise. Hearing it from a friend ends up meaning they stepped over the line.
  • "Thank you for the idea but that's not for me" "I don't think so, sounds great but I just wanna be me / not get involved at the moment.. etc" "I'm not interested in that right now, thanks for the suggestion"
  • I've had the same problem, and what these 'friends'(They are not behaving as a good friend does,if you say no,but they are persistent*)can't seem to understand is that you love them as a GOOD friend, but have NO romantic feelings for them.I hate to be the Debbie Downer, but why do we try so hard to please those who do not respect us? Space is space, and I say that if you can not respect that, then you don't need to be friends anymore.I hope that you have better luck in friendship AND love in the future, and take care.*+++++*
