• Submission, huh? ;-)
  • Kneeling is a sign of RESPECT ; the same way that we kneel in the presence of the Queen, Queen, or Soverign, in some countries etc ....
  • Supplication? ;-)
  • There was a large billboard on 101 that had an image of a person kneeling and the wording "you are closest to god on your knees"
  • You should be humbled in God's presence yo...
  • ... this is way too easy. No, no, I'll resist the obvious vulgar joke at the expense of the clergy.
  • I believe it's a ceremonial way of being reverent.
  • It's a form or submission and respect to the Will of a higher Being.
  • who knows!!sad innit!!
  • Catholics kneel in the worship of God, the Creator of the Universe. The Pope has written a nice paper on the theology of kneeling: With love in Christ.
  • Savin' shoe leather? ;-)
  • There's a hot girl in a mini skirt in front of you?
  • The position of Malkuth is the closest to the church floor.Qliphoth is folded away signifying barred entry to that place. I am sorry if this sounds senseless to you then think jlt! This concerns the tree of life!

Kaballah - Jewish mysticism recorded in the middle ages. Some believe this is a path to reach enlightenment in the way that the prophets have done.
  • Apparently it is supposed to show respect and submission...But is pointless if the scriptures are not being obeyed. Matthew 28; 19,20 J.W' s do not kneel, but pray to Jehovah for the strength to do what he has asked...through Jesus. (Mark 9:7) And a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud: “This is my Son, the beloved; listen to him.”
  • To "kneel before God" is to show reverence, respect and subservience. At least that's what I think it represents. :)
  • To honor Jesus.

BUT Jesus is NOT God...because God [ Jehovah] spoke out of heaven in respect of Jesus...separating their two identities, (Mark 9:7) And a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud: ?This is my Son, the beloved. Listen to him.?
  • easy access for priest
  • I think it's to give you a rest from standing. OOOOH.
  • 7-27-2017 It is a major need to move during a church service so people don't fall asleep. So they stand to sing, sit down to listen, kneel during prayers, stand up, sit down, and so on for as long as it lasts.

It is interesting to notice that 1 Corinthians 12, 13, & 14 give specific instructions on how to conduct a worship service and not one denomination follows them. Not even one.
  • It is a sign of loyalty and submission.
  • people just use that posture when they pray, i cant do that, i got a bad knee
  • a mark of respect... But respect without knowledge is pointless... J.W's do not kneel...but attend OUR Kingdom halls to study just what the Bible teaches...No one person is above any other although elders are appointed to direct the meetings. Privileged brothers handle sound and accounts. But they are again not ' above' all the other members. They render service as servants.
  • For the same reason a person would lay flat on their stomach on the floor and cry out to God. It is submitting to the will of God and humbling one's self physically as well as spiritually.
  • In my point of view kneeling is penitential and signifies worship. But if your objection is due to a health condition, staying seating is fine. Maybe just bow your head.
