corcovado by tom jobim here are two versions, one by tom jobim & joao gilberto and the other by stan getz & astrud gilberto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMX6E68qJAg translation... Quiet nights of quiet stars, quiet chords from my guitar Floating in the silence that surrounds us Quiet thoughts and quiet dreams, quiet walks by quiet streams, and a window looking on the mountains and the sea. How lovely! this is where i want to be. Here, with you so close to me, until the final flicker of lifes ember. I who was lost and lonely, believing life was only A bitter tragic joke, have found with you The meaning of existence oh, my love. israel kamakawiwo'ole singing over the rainbow is also guaranteed to bring a smile to my face.

There are plenty that can work wonders. I like "The Rain Song" by Led Zeppelin, but, these days, I've been listening to a lot of chill-out music from newer underground artists like Sevish. Back when I was a teenager, my biddy and I would get together in his basement and rock out loud music on guitar and drums. Anytime his dad got annoyed at the noise, we would play Misty by Johnny Mathis, and it'd always buy us another 40-45 minutes afterward.
