I'm assuming win xp here. Yup. The easiest way, without digging into Adobe's preferences, is to drag and drop that picture onto your desktop (after a virus check). Right click it's icon, select "open with", then in the submenu that comes up, "choose program". Either choose from the list or browse to the program you want to associate with that file. You can tick off in the bottom corner, to always use that program. You can change the file association to another program whenever you want, by doing this again. One note. If that's a proprietary photoshop file type, you best not change it's file association. It may not open in the program you want it to. It may only open under photoshop.
