Of course. Somehow we call ourselves a democracy...when the US of A was based on a republic. Odd? Maybe....And ontop of that...the patriot act is among us...just wait, until you have no rights left. Fun. What do you own, that cannot be taken away...anything? Where can you go without fearing if you are legal? Anywhere? Where is our freedoms. Its walk here...drive here....dont do that, dont touch this...stay back, either its opened or closed. When can a person protest? What can actually be said without it starting a huge controversy. Its insane. Its scary to try to do anything.

Citizens right cannot be taken away, they are usually given away by same citizen. Learning your rights is not essential, learning that the constituition is a guideline for how government is not allowed to restrict us is. The constituition does not give rights to its citizens, its draws the line for officials not to cross. Many pundints and politicians try to confuse the public on this.

You should try being in the Marines ... we can't even wear a hat in a store on base ... it's a store for cryin out loud ... I can understand a church or place of business ... but yes our freedoms have slowly been dwindling down ... we have the right to remain silent ... and take it up the pooper as they dish it out to us.

Yes, and neither liberals or conservatives are going to give them back anytime soon, although I do agree with the one user who said that rights aren't taken, they are given away.
