  • oh hell yeah!... it was time 30 years ago
  • By my calculations, marijuana is already legal for sale for any reason for which it should be sold.
  • Not just marijuana but all "illegal" drugs. It's time to ditch our false stereotypes and myths and realize that there are much worse (legal) things in this world...
  • You mean by the calculations of the activist website you just read? I'm aware this will get me downrated, but there is still little to no incentive to legalize marijuana. It's pretty much a proven fact.
  • Thirteen states already came to that conclusion, and legalized it. So stay tuned, it's just a matter of time ... and the recession will help the cause as governments, always starving for taxes, will find this new source of revenue very lucrative. I think California generates about $1B or so a year from the sales and regulation fees per year (this is a number given to me by a grower friend that lives there, and he smokes, so the number may be high!) ... but no matter what, if the figures are in the 100M+ range, states will jump on that band wagon quick during this 50% decline in tax revenue from home prices dropping!!
  • Defintely. I'm not a smoker, but the War on Drugs was won by the drug lords many years ago. Drug lords run several countries. Now those laws are a big drain, just to save face and to support the whole socioeconomic/police/court/legal/prison system. All those cops, prison guards, lawyers, court staff, etc. have a vested/personal interest in maintaining the status quo.
