  • How do you know he is a rapist? That may have some bearing on how this is handled. If he does have a past then it will be taken more seriously than if this is just some horny dude who is harassing you. The laws have changes significantly over the years in various regions/states - local laws differ on things like this - where one place may see this as a civil issue (harassment, perhaps legal grounds for a restraining order) other areas may pursue this as a criminal case with criminal complaints possible and the threat of criminal charges being a potential if this behavior continues. I would suggest you call a lawyer one who gives 'free advice' or go to your local Legal/Law Library. Most county seats have a legal library that deals with only law books. The clerks there are knowledgeable and may have a better idea of how local law works and can direct you to appropriate legal actions.
  • 1) He's not a rapist unless he has actually raped someone. 2) But he is doing something wrong (and possibly illegal) by texting you the way he is. 3) You can block his texts. 4) No idea what will happen if you talk to the police, but if you think you might be in danger it would be good to find out by asking them. Blocking his texts may just piss him off. Don't worry about what will happen to him. Worry about what could happen to you.
  • What will happen? The harassment will cease. But please make sure you have lots of evidence of everything you accuse this person of.
