That would not have been a prudent move in the slightest. If that had happened, who knows whether the war would have ended in 1945, or who would have been victorious. It wouldn't have looked at all good for the other allies. Stalin was an evil dictator but you can't make a decision about who was worse based just on the numbers of deaths he was responsible for. That is pretty arbitrary.

No, definitely not. Bearing mind that fact that Soviet Union collapsed anyway, there wasnt any need too. The Soviets and the allies would have destroyed each other into a stale mate.
