I have small flying insects (gnats?) in my kitchen. Because it's a food preparation area and I have pets I'd prefer not to use airborne sprays. I've put out a tacky looking, sicky bug strip but it doesn't get them all. Suggestions?

Place those sticky tapes up on the roof, put your pets in a room and then use the spray and then open the door and attract them to the door or soemthing to get them out.

Locate the source and dispose of it. Usually fruit, with gnats. Then wait a coupe of days and they are gone. They don't live very long.

The fruit thing is the most likely way to discourage them. A quicker way is to fill a spray bottle with Listerine. It won't affect your pets.

They might be fruit flies, which looooove to hover around rotting fruit, either fruit in a fruit bowl or basket on your counter, or fruit or peels in your trash or waste disposal. So make sure you keep appropriate fruits in the fridge, and eat your fruits before they go bad, and take out the trash immediately whenever you place something that can rot inside, and rinse your in sink garbage disposal out with lots of water and a squirt of soap whenever you use it.
