I loved my maternal grandmother, adored, more like. I liked my maternal grandfather, although he could be difficult. My paternal grandparents were very important to me in my early years as I lived with them, but I didn't have much contact after my parents divorced. I had two step-grandmothers, whom I loved dearly. One is my only remaining grandparent. She is in her late nineties, still sharp as a tack, still living alone.

Maternal grandparents weren't at all into kids. One just sat and was silent unless spoken to. Paternal grandparents weren't at all into kids either. Way too busy getting drunk.
