  • Only if you burn the paper you write them on afterwards. Once it is gone forever, you will not longer have anything to hold on to. Some people advocate writing it down on some toilet paper, then use it, and flush. That works also.

  • It might be helpful to get you to specify exactly what your thoughts and feelings are in the matter. It's sort of an awareness exercise. But it does matter what you're writing. If you're just going on and on about how horrible somebody else was and how they deserve to have hot hatpins jammed into their eyes, that's not likely to be very helpful. What would make this exercise helpful is if you focus the attention on yourself, rather than on the "offender"... i.e. how you feel, what you think, why you think that, etc.

  • I think it will, as long as you don't read your writing. Hide it away and never look at it again.
