  • It begins with the smallest and least profound step. Say it's for exercising again. Make your goal to only put on jogging clothes and walk out your front door -- no farther. You can then go back in again. If you then happen to feel like going farther fine, but you met your goal. The next day your goal is the same plus putting a foot in the street. You never have to go any farther than your goal. Amazingly, it works, I can't say why.
