Should teachers who are snobbish and favour middle class children and preach that anyone who doesnt make a sucess of themselves when they are young are a failure, be fired? (I notice this is a common attitude amongst teachers).

Should teachers who favour working class children be fired? There is alot of discrimination by teachers against middle and upperclass children. What can we do about that?

...Then they are not teachers. They are just angry cuz they are the ones who didnt take their success to the level THEY wanted it....are a failure to themselves...and they want other people like them to fail. You should talk to the school board, cuz they are right in 1 aspect...they need to be fired.

I believe they are more than likely referring to getting an education and working hard and carrying that mentality throughout your working life. I dont believe they are speaking monetarily. OPerhaps you have misunderstood their intention.

Wow. Are they still getting away with that nonsense? I used to hear that crap spewed out when I was in school and that wasy many, many years ago. (50's, 60's). I think kids these days are way too sharp to believe that nonsense. What you should do is call them on their shit. Do some homework on your own and present a huge list of people that will prove them dead wrong. Albert Einstein almost flunked high school math for instance. I stayed away from art for years because teachers told us that artists are born, not made. What a load of crappola. Yes, they should be fired, but unfortuantely we have very few great teachers to take their place. The salary sucks.

That's funny I haven't seen that where I live. Here it's a bunch of 'free spirit' liberal granolas, telling kids that it's okay to go your own way in life, to move at your own pace and 'just let it all go' type crap. They surely aren't teaching them for success in my area.
